Gucci Bamboo, c1990s

Gucci started experimenting with bamboo as the second world war came to an end.  With materials scarce, creativity took center stage and the House achieved icon status with its bamboo top handle bag.  This example from the early 1990s is the classic size, measuring 10.5" across.  The bold red pigskin makes a chic statement. Pristine vintage condition (without strap).
